Today my Mom and I got together for one of our yearly traditions...
Nani's Spice Cookies!
They are delicious and since there will be a lot of entertaining this weekend these are the perfect treat.But more than that, these cookies hold a special place in my heart for a few reasons. We always use my Nani's recipe, which she typed on a 3x5 recipe card on a good old-fashioned typewriter.
And we always use her old fall cookie cutters.
My Mom and Nani made these cookies when she was a little girl and now I am making them with my Mom who my daughter now calls Nani :)
This Thanksgiving will be the first one without my Nani, but she is always close in my heart.
